Forestry strategy:

 

 

Communities are assisted in the management of natural forests. Project team are facilitated to work together with communities to assess the state of the forest and plan with them its sustainable use.

The assistance focuses on providing the beneficiaries with the knowledge to prepare a comprehensive forest management plan; assisting the communities to carry out forestry projects, such as plantations, nurseries and the sustainable exploitation of timber and non-timber forest products.

Government services are advised on all aspects related to policies and strategies aimed at fostering people's participation in forestry and promoting forest conservation.
