Continuing the assignment as Team Leader of the Biodiversity Management Programme in the Horn of Africa, based in IGAD Djibuti. The programme aims at establishing trans-boundary protected areas in land and seascapes in the Horn of Africa. The focus is on Land and Seascapes in Tana Kipini and Bahadade (Kenya and Somalia), Gambella and Boma (Ethiopia and South Sudan), and Lac Abbé – Gulf of Tajoura (Ethiopia and Djibouti). Effort is on-going to establish regional biodiversity policy and database & information systems for 7 IGAD members countries.
